This year, The Royals Shopping Centre team has chosen RNLI, Southend Lifeboat Station
as its official charity of year for 2018-19.
We are delighted to raise funds for such a worthy local charity, and this year is no exception. Just a stone’s throw away from the centre, the Southend branch of the RNLI is an important charity to the team and to the local area. Nationally, the RNLI work incredibly hard to save lives at sea, providing a 24-hour service for search and rescue operations. The Southend Lifeboat station is situated on both an inshore station on the seafront and the offshore station at the end of the pier. In fact, it’s one of the busiest stations in England.
We have chosen RNLI, Southend Lifeboat Station as our charity of the year because it is at the heart of our local community here in Southend-on-Sea. We feel it’s important to raise awareness for the work the charity as a whole and the all the volunteers do, as the cause relies on the community’s support and donations to keep running. All money collected by The Royals goes directly to the Southend Lifeboats too.
So, to help raise funds for RNLI, Southend Lifeboat Station, we will be hosting a number of events in the centre throughout the remainder of the year. We also have two money spinners in the centre where donations are always welcomed; one is located in the main atrium and the other is on the lower ground floor. You can also donate online here.
Thank you to all our shoppers who have donated so far, this year. We are looking forward to hosting more fundraising events!
